LUCY

​

I previously worked in London for 10 years (for various international companies) organising many corporate events ranging from a drinks reception/dinner for a visiting prime minister and his delegation, summer/winter company parties and a three day international conferences for 200 people. I therefore have a great wealth of experience organising a variety of different types and sizes of events.

​

After organising my own wedding, I started to get multiple requests to help friends and relatives with their upcoming nuptials ranging from supplier advice, where to find the best deals, on the day support etc. I would often sit and listen to colleagues trying to squeeze their wedding planning into a lunch break!

​

​Realising that helping people plan their perfect day, was my perfect job, I completed a wedding planning diploma and started Weddings by Lucy Jean. It’s the kind of job that my detail driven, planning, spreadsheet obsessed personality thrives on.

 

Outside of work i'm a total history geek, extreme sports addict and an all round queen of organisation!

MY STYLE

​

I share my clients’ love of effortless, naturally understated elegance, beautiful blooms, incredible food and wine, and the pleasure of creating memorable occasions and experiences.

​

My days are split between my HQ in Guildford and travelling around London and the South of England.

 

It’s here that you’ll also find my resident English working cocker spaniel, Aspen. Her hobbies include running, swimming and toilet roll!

MY APPROACH

I care immensely about putting together a wedding that is unique and designed to be your day - incorporating your personalities and style.​ I know exactly what goes into planning high quality events - a huge amount of time, knowledge and experience.

​

I also know that every couple has to work to a specific budget and I have many ingenious solutions and alternatives to give you the wedding of your dreams within your budget.

​

When you choose to work with me you can expect my undivided attention and totally hands on approach - keeping you updated throughout the process. 

​

As your wedding planner, YOU are my number one priority – not the venue or your other vendors. I am more than happy to mediate any issues you may have with your vendors, and I promise to be honest with you throughout the process. Ensuring that you are taken care of and that your needs and expectations are met is something that I take very seriously, and I pride myself in working with my clients to make sure that both the wedding planning process AND your wedding day are an incredible, memorable experience.

I do not take any commission from any suppliers I recommend and so no additional costs are ever passed onto you. I am fully insured and have completed a wedding planning diploma certified by CPD UK.
